One Click Authors -Natasha Knight
And Now For Something Different
Natasha Knight is one of my favorite authors and her books are always one clickers for me. They have the right balance of discipline and erotic that I enjoy. The severity of the punishments in her books, along with a healthy dose of dub-con and non-consensual is a selling feature for me and many of her fans. Which is why I was surprised by my reaction to the opening of Given to the Savage
. It made me very uncomfortable, not the birching but the medical scenes. It made me wonder if this was perhaps one of Natasha's books I wouldn't enjoy. I mean it was bound to happen. Right?
Wrong!
As I continued in the story the unease I felt was an important part of creating the post apocalyptic world Rowan and Silas struggle with. Both suffering under the hands of a corrupt regime, the time they spend together banishes the barren, clinical world that Rowan is subjected in the colony. It shows us that Rowan is treated barbarically and that Silas, the supposed savage, is actually the only truly civilized man in the room. The fact that it is mainly women who subject her to these indignities is extra chilling.
Of course, if you enjoy medical play and F/F you might interpret these scenes differently. Either way, Given to the Savage
Given to the Savage
